Ever get the feeling like you’re “all over the place” – and you don’t know what to do next? When our lives are busy and full, it can happen.
Well, I’d like to let you in a strategy to overcome this. Here goes! One of the things that can slow me down is when I feel “all over the place” {I don’t have any other clever term for it than that}.
I have a strategy that helps me overcome this feeling, and get back on track to taking purposeful action on my goals.
The key is the word I used, ‘purpose’. We can get so busy, that we stop being productive and purposeful. I’m guessing you know what I mean by this. Are you running around, but not actually getting to the things that are important? Stop. Pause. And think for a bit.
What do you really need to accomplish in the next week? In the next month?
Just write down 3 things {at the most}.
Things that are important to you, and to those you love– that are consistent with who you are, who you want to be, and what you most dream about doing.
Now schedule them into your calendar/planner/diary.

Now what about all those other things that are causing you to run around like a headless chicken?
1. Get them out of your head, if they’re swimming around in your head (write them all down). David Allen in ‘Getting things done’ talks about this.
2. Which can you CUT OUT/JUST STOP DOING?
3. Which can you DELEGATE?
4. Which can WAIT?
5. Which are ‘nice to haves’? Put the ‘nice to haves’ on a list you create in a notepad or electronic device. As these are not priority right now, you can look at them later.
I hope that helps. Have an awesome {purposeful} week.
Thank you
