30 Day Declutter Challenge: Day #19 Kitchen drawer (miscellanous stuff)

The Kitchen Drawer. You know, the one where everything that is little, and has no real home, goes. Batteries, pens, tippex, sandwich bags, cake candles, small screwdrivers, glue stick, scissors, sticky tape – at least that’s where it goes for us.

The only way I’ve found to keep this in some sort of order is with a drawer organiser. Maybe your built-in kitchen came with one already – ours didn’t. So now we have an organiser with multiple small compartments – one for the batteries, one for the tippex, candles, string and other items. And next to the organiser we’ve managed to also fit in the tin foil, cling wrap, sandwich bags and other items that didn’t fit in the little compartments. Job done. And now I know that we actually have 3 bottles of tippex, whereas before I wouldn’t have known because 1 or 2 of them would have been hidden right at the back corner of the drawer underneath string and sandwich bags.

See you on Day #20!
